I’ve always been drawing and painting since my youth and having lived and worked around the world, travel has heavily influenced my artistic pursuits.
Photography and documentary film making have also given me incredible opportunities to travel and learn about the world.
My father was an amateur oil painter and superb draftsman, and spending time with him painting or drawing were some of my fondest memories of childhood. I learned most of my foundations from him and consider him to this day one of my favourite artists. Being from Jamaica, his style and subject choices echoed that bountiful and beautiful land, sea and sand. This is something that has also established itself in my artistic preferences as well, and I constantly seek tropical inspirations.
